About this notice
This Privacy Notice explains how personal information is handled when you visit Botanicals & Co, contact us, subscribe to the Journal or request a Botanical Library PDF.
Botanicals & Co is a brand of Noviota Limited. Noviota Limited is the data controller responsible for the operation of the Botanicals & Co website and the processing of personal information as described in this notice. Noviota Limited (company number NI741562) is registered at Office 1851, 92 Castle Street, Belfast, BT1 1HE, United Kingdom. For any question about privacy or your personal information, please email beauty@botanicalsand.co.
Information we may collect
Depending on how you interact with Botanicals & Co, information may include:
- your name;
- email address;
- information submitted through contact forms;
- Journal subscription preferences;
- Botanical Library PDF requests;
- botanical interests associated with requested monographs;
- communications you send to us;
- technical and security information relating to your visit;
- cookie and analytics information where applicable.
Why we use your information
Depending upon the interaction, personal information may be used to:
- provide requested Botanical Library PDF downloads;
- deliver the monthly Journal roundup where subscribed;
- respond to enquiries;
- maintain subscription preferences;
- operate and secure the website;
- understand website use where applicable;

The lawful bases for each processing activity are to be confirmed against the actual processing performed before publication.
Journal subscriptions
Readers may subscribe to receive the Botanicals & Co Journal roundup. It is sent once a month, on the last Sunday of each month. Subscribers may unsubscribe using the link included in each email or through other available preference controls.
Botanical Library downloads
We may request an email address when a reader requests a downloadable Botanical Library monograph. Requesting a PDF does not automatically subscribe that person to the Journal. If Journal subscription is offered alongside a PDF request, it is presented as a separate and optional choice.
Email and reader preferences
Botanicals & Co uses FluentCRM within its WordPress environment to manage relevant contact information, subscription preferences and reader interests. For example, if a reader requests the Lavender monograph, the system may record that the requested resource concerned Lavender. This allows us to deliver requested resources, maintain appropriate preferences, and understand which Botanical Library material readers request. Recording an interest in a downloaded resource is not the same as consent to marketing. FluentCRM is being configured; this description is to be confirmed against the final implementation.
Cookies and similar technologies
Botanicals & Co uses CookieAdmin to manage cookie consent and preferences. CookieAdmin provides visitors with information about the cookies and similar technologies used on the website and allows applicable consent choices to be managed. Further information is available in our Cookie Policy.
Service providers
Botanicals & Co may use service providers to support functions such as website hosting, email delivery, security, analytics and website operation. These providers may process information on our behalf where necessary to provide those services. The specific processors are to be confirmed against the actual production configuration before publication.
How long we keep information
Personal information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and to satisfy applicable legal, administrative or compliance requirements. Specific retention periods are to be derived from the actual processing policy.
Your rights
Depending on applicable data-protection law and the circumstances of the processing, individuals may have rights relating to access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability and withdrawal of consent. To exercise any of these rights, please use our Contact page.
Botanicals & Co is operated from the United Kingdom, and the relevant supervisory authority is the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). If you have a concern about how your personal information is handled, you may contact us at beauty@botanicalsand.co or raise it with the ICO.
